The Salvation Army founder, William Booth, never intended to form churches. He simply wanted to spread the Good News of salvation to the destitute and the forgotten. He quickly discovered that the people he reached were looking to him for long-term spiritual care and guidance. Thus The Salvation Army was born.
The Olympia Corps is dedicated to our founder’s intention as stated in our contemporary mission. We exist to bring hope and healing to people of all walks of life. For those who are interested in making The Salvation Army their church home, we offer various programs intended to encourage them in their faith.
